Ginkgo pendant/brooch

The golden color of ginkgo leaves is the best color of autumn in my childhood memory. I grew up in Beijing, China and my home is very close to the Earth Temple which is famous for giant ginkgo trees. Every autumn the major walkways in this temple will be fully covered by ginkgo leaves, not only the ground is covered, but also the sky. 
In this design each ginkgo leaf is created with18k yellow gold and sterling silver rhombuses or  trangles which are soldered together one by one. Through this  time comsuming process,  the leaves look more vivid as they are blowing in wind and sunlight is shinning through them. There are total 19 rubies are scattered among ginkgo leaves to add the right sparkles. The colors of these 19 rubies are varied in beautiful pink hues from light lilac to deep red which add more interesting to the design.
